Children’s Society
This national charity is supported by a Christingle service in December, collecting boxes in people’s homes and the occasional coffee morning. Further information and collecting boxes from the above.

Friends of Cancer Research UK
The Sutton Bonington Friends of Cancer Research UK was first formed in 1980.

A small committee and a large group of willing volunteers organise two events a year and to date (2007) the group has raised well over £94,000.

A Christmas Coffee Day, usually held in November, gives you the opportunity of doing your Christmas shopping in the village.

The main event, not to be missed, is the Garden Walkabout which takes place during one weekend in June. Sutton Bonington and Kingston join forces and allow programme holders to visit approximately 30 gardens, a wonderful social event.
