Sutton Bonington

Village Website

Sutton Bonington is very unusual in that it has two medieval churches, dating back to the time when it was actually two villages, Sutton and Bonington. St.
Michael’s (LE12 5PF) is the largest and is situated on Main Street. St. Anne’s (LE12 5NJ) is at the end of St. Anne’s Lane, a turning off Main Street. Both churches are well maintained and used regularly. They are open each day and everyone is most welcome to call in at any time to look around, to pray or simply to sit quietly.

Services
Morning services are held most Sundays either in St Michael’s or St Anne’s.
United Family services are held regularly alternating with the Methodist Church, and 5th Sunday services alternate between churches in the Gotham cluster. Evening services are held on the 1st Sunday in St Anne’s and the 4th Sunday in St James’ Normanton on Soar. A mid week communion is held in St Anne’s. For up to date details, please see church noticeboards and church magazine.
