St Michael's & St Anne's
Sutton Bonington is very unusual in that it has two medieval churches, dating
back to the time when it was actually two villages, Sutton and Bonington. St.
Michael’s is the largest and is situated on Main Street. St. Anne’s is at the end of St. Anne’s Lane, a turning off Main Street. Both churches are well maintained and used regularly. They are open each day and everyone is most welcome to call in at any time to look around, to pray or simply to sit quietly.
Services
Morning services are held most Sundays either in St Michael’s or St Anne’s.
United Family services are held regularly alternating with the Methodist Church, and 5th Sunday services alternate between churches in the Gotham cluster. Evening services are held on the 1st Sunday in St Anne’s and the 4th Sunday in St James’ Normanton on Soar. A mid week communion is held in St Anne’s. For up to date details, please see church noticeboards and church magazine.
Priest-in-Charge (Rector):
| Revd. Glenn Martin | 19a Park Lane | Tel. 670757 |
Requests for Baptisms, Marriages, Funerals, should be made to the Rector,
who would also be glad to hear from anyone who would like prayer for
themselves or others, or would appreciate a visit at home or hospital. Holy
Communion can be taken to anyone who is unable to attend church. The
Rector is available Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays.
