Baby & Toddler Group

All babies, toddlers and pre-school children with their carers are welcome. Meets in Baptist Church rooms on Tuesday & Friday mornings from10.00am to 11.45am term time only. Lots of toys, noise, books, craft table, sand & water play. Friendly faces and a singsong. Social events for carers too.

Badminton

There are two ladies’ clubs meeting on Monday afternoons and Tuesday
mornings and three mixed clubs meeting on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings: all in the Village Hall. New players welcome.

Bellringing

St Michael’s Church has a peal of six bells. The installation originally consisted of 3 bells cast by Henry Oldfield’s foundry in Long Row Nottingham. The oldest of these bells dates back to 1579. In 1879 two more bells were added and finally, in l977, a sixth bell was added to commemorate the Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee. The weights of the bells range from 4cwts 86lbs (Treble) to 17cwts 97lbs (Tenor). Bell ringing takes place before Sunday morning service and at weekly practice on the 1st & 3rd Monday 7.30pm. Visiting ringers are very welcome.

Bowls                                                                        

Participation in the game of flat green bowls, both in friendly and competitive matches, from April to September. Membership is open to male and female bowlers of all ages. New bowlers welcome.

Christian Care & Counselling Centre
Haven and New Dawn counselling centre’s -  offering a confidential service in times of stress, ill health, bereavement etc .The teams are committed to helping anyone in need, of any faith or none.

Compo Club

A club for fairly active retired men (50+). Activities include easy visits to various places of interest followed by a pub lunch. Good conversation and gentle humour abound.

Cricket Club

One Saturday league team (Notts. Village League) and one Sunday team playing friendly games. Winter nets from January to April. Good atmosphere, picturesque surroundings and excellent teas. New players welcome.
